Silly Space Faces

 
  • Assorted fresh fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, bananas, kiwifruit, grapes, oranges, apples, pears, peaches.
  • 2 4-oz containers of vanilla fat free pudding
  • 1/4 cup fat free sour cream
  • 1 tsp finely shredded lemon peel or dried
  • 4 carmel corn rice cakes
  • 2-3 tbl cherry or strawberry jelly
  1. With adult supervision use a knife and cutting board to cut up the fresh fruits into various shapes that can be used for eyes, mouths, noses, eyebrows and hair.
  2. Put the pudding, sour cream and lemon peel in a mixing bowl and stir with a spoon until mixed well.
  3. Use a table knife to spread about 2 T of the mixture over each rice cake.
  4. Use the cut-up fruits to make a monster or alien face on top of the pudding mixture.
  5. Put the jelly in a mircrowave-safe bowl.
  6. With adult supervision, microwave on high for 20-30 seconds or until jelly is melted.
  7. Use hot pads to remove bowl from microwave.
  8. Use a spoon to drizzle the jelly onto the fruit faces.
